As The Abode currently expands its focus as an Interfaith Retreat and Spiritual Center, we wish to rededicate our spaces to promote conscious awakening in every day life for the future of our world.

The history of the work of the Abode has spanned almost half a century since it was first founded (as a Sufi Center) in 1975.

A 50th Anniversary Weekend is planned July 4th-6th, 2025 to honor those who brought us to where we are today!

The Abode is a retreat center and sanctuary, promoting collective and individual discovery through meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth. We serve the well-being of others, by offering classes, retreats and gatherings that create a time to pause and reflect with guidance from sacred teachings, creative process, Earth based initiatives and contemplation.

The Abode is also a true Sanctuary

We believe deeply in the process of orientation in nature and that the preservation of our Earth’s wild spaces is fundamental to its future. Located where the Berkshire Mountains meet the Taconic Hills, the magnificent property of Mount Lebanon and its surrounding lands consists of over 300 acres of forest, field, and stream.

Beauty as observed in nature is an invitation to wonder about the deeper connections of all living things. From this space it becomes ever more evident that our natural world is deeply important to the understanding of the potential in all. We invite you to explore and experience that here.
