Message Class

Thursday, March 25 | 7:00 PM ET

In continuation from last week, Shakur and participants will delve into the first Silver Rule to see how it can help us keep a positive attitude in uncertain times.

In these Message classes, we will attempt to find that more positive change in ourselves.  It is very difficult to heal ourselves and move on from wounds that have happened in our lives.

A black background with two hands in the center illuminated by the candle they hold. White text between two horizontal, white lines at the top of the image reads, "Message Class," in all caps. On the bottom of the image, between thin lines reads, "Thursdays @ 7:00 PM ET," also in all caps.

We work on healing our wounds through Breath, healing practices and meditation. This unlocks our true self to allow the inner change of acceptance. We give up our ability to change to the God or Goddess within. We are free to become a person who works to bring their life to one of positive attitude and light and love.

This week we will be looking at the first Silver Rule, “My conscientious self, consider duty as sacred as religion.”

All are welcome to join in the class!

The Abode is a retreat and spiritual center situated in an 19th century Shaker Village on Mount Lebanon, NY.  Each year, the Abode welcomes visitors to its historic campus for contemplative and rejuvenating activities.

The Abode service team is a group of dedicated people helping to tend a facility and land that have been considered sacred since the land’s earliest known stewards, the Mahicans.  The Abode’s spiritual and service focus is the basis for offering sacred hospitality to all who cross our threshold.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Abode has been closed to guests, and has been working on a rejuvenation of its campus structures and facilities.
