Come one, come all to Thanksgiving dinner, our annual fundraiser for Charlie’s Pantry (local) and newcomer, HungerVan (regional). Dinner is at 2, following an interspiritual prayer gathering in the Meditation Hall at 1:45 on Thursday, November 23. The Abode is providing turkey and a few staples, but hope you all can, in the spirit of family, community, and togetherness, bring a dish or dessert to share. Save the Date – Sunday, December 17 is Rumi’s Urs and we are beginning to plan an afternoon of delights. Plan to join Universal Worship at 11am, brunch at 12:30pm, and then Rumi’s Urs celebrations at 1:30pm. There will be music, poetry, treats, and new faces, including Val Feldman of Stable Gate Farm and Winery.
Save the Date – Thursday, December 21. We are having an “Abode on the Road” joint Solstice gathering potluck and class at Stable Gate Farm and Winery in Castleton-on-Hudson. In dialogue with Yaqin, our Sufi class will be a shared Solstice celebration off-campus. We will have carpooling opportunities closer to that date.
We are excited to announce that the New Year’s Retreat with Aziza Scott will happen again this year, but Friday through Sunday, December 29-31. We are so blessed to have Aziza return to a multi-day retreat and hope you all may join us! Registration will be open soon for Aziza Scott’s “Winter Renewal” retreat at the Abode, December 29-31. The event will be both live at the Abode and available on Livestream. Stay tuned for details!

At 1:45 we’ll begin with an interspiritual prayer gathering, followed by dinner around 2:00. After the feast, we’ll all clean together until the cleaning is done. From there we’ll have games and dessert in the library, music as it happens, or just space to digest and talk with friends.
