Abode Village View – Week of November 3

You Can Bring The Abode’s Future Into Focus

Dear Friends,

We have so much gratitude for those who have already donated to the Abode’s 45th Anniversary campaign. If you have yet to donate to this campaign, please follow this link to find our donation page.

Your donations will help fund three strategic initiatives critical to the Abode’s mission and vision: providing a sanctuary for the Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan, and a place of sacred hospitality and retreat. You can designate your donation for a specific project, or for general support. Please give generously – the Abode grows with your support.

As we approach our 45th anniversary year, we are embarking on a period of celebration and remembrance, which will culminate in the 45th Reunion held July 3-5, 2020.  Please sign up to receive updates on upcoming events and how you’d like to participate.

Thank you for your nourishing generosity, love and support.

Food For Thought Survey

The kitchen, and food, have been the center of Abode life since it began 45 years ago. We would love to hear from those invested in the Abode what they believe is most important as we begin to re-imagine our offerings and standards. You can help us move forward by taking part in this survey.

Thank you!

Upcoming This Week

langar lunch (3)

Wednesday lunches are a free service oriented gathering, community discussion, and chance for all to share what’s happening on about the campus and beyond.

This week’s Universal Worship will be co-led by Yaqin and those who have been training to become Cherags. Come support their hard work!

Taught from transcribed papers of talks given by Hazrat Inayat Khan, Thursday Message classes mix meditation, breathing and movement practices with receptive listening to Sufi teachings.

Join us for movement and chanting to live music using sacred mantras and poetry dedicated to world peace. All are welcomed; no experience in singing or dancing is needed.
