Monday, June 18
– 2:30pm Culture, Ecology and Regenerative Design with Kevin & Shakur – Razzaq Dining Hall
“This is a series involving discussion/presentation, activities, core routines of nature observation, and hands on projects. We’ll focus on eco-literacy, spending time within the thriving ecosystem of the Abode. We’ll observe the patterns of sunlight, water, soil, trees, plants, and mammals on the land and experience the ways they interact, affect, serve, benefit and adjust to each other. We’ll learn and witness some of the evidence of the history of the land and the human communities that have lived here. Then we’ll take a good look at the state of the world. And by using the tools of movements like Permaculture, Regenerative Design, and Culture Repair we’ll look at ways humans can move towards a healthy way of being part of the ecosystem.”
Tuesday, June 19 – Pir Vilayat’s 102nd Birthday

Join us for an Indian dinner in honor of Pir Vilayat’s birthday, graciously provided by the Inayati Center.
– 7:00pm Pir Vilayat 102nd Birthday Celebration – Fatah Family Room
After dinner we’ll watch a video about Pir Vilayat and munch on some birthday goodies in Fatah’s Family Room. All are welcome to join us for this celebration!

THE HEART AND WINGS – THE PRACTICE OF THE SYMBOL
Join Yaqin this coming Thursday, June 21 (the Solstice), to experience a practice recently given by Pir Zia based upon the deep meaning of symbol of the Heart & Wings. “Each feature of the symbol provides a clue to the process by which illumination is realized.” The practice will start at 7:00 in Quddus, the meditation hall. Please be on time because the aspects of doing the practice lead from one to another and coming in late, a person will not understand the sequence and how it fits together.
At the end of the practice Yaqin will offer everyone a brief 8-page booklet Pir Zia created explaining the practice. Free will offerings are welcome to pay for the booklet. Hope to see you there.
