Dances of Universal Peace
This Friday, the Abode will host Dances of Universal Peace with Maitreya Jon Stevens. Come early for dinner at 6pm ($12 in the Rezak Dining Room) then join us at 7:30p in the Meditation Hall.
The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, multi-cultural circle dances. They use movements, music, and sacred phrases from many traditions to touch and deepen the spiritual essence within oneself and to experience spiritual harmony with others. The Dances promote peace and integration within individuals and groups worldwide. Movements, words and melody for each dance are taught as if it is being danced for the first time. There are neither performers nor audience; prior experience is not necessary; participants of all ages and physical abilities are always welcomed.
As presently scheduled these are the last Dances at the Abode for the season. Mark your calendar and we’ll see you soon!

Eid Al’Fitr
Next Sunday is Eid Al’Fitr, the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Imam Salim Chishti will lead us in Eid Salat (prayers) at 8am in the Meditation Hall, followed by Universal Worship at 11am led by Tara Chishti. At 12:30pm we will celebrate with Eid brunch. All are welcome to attend. If interested, please RSVP to kitchen@theabode.org
The end of the month is Season of the Rose (July 28-03), the Inayati Order’s annual Sufi camp at the Abode’s Main Campus.
See you there!
Many Blessings,
Emily Collins, Programs Assistant
