Dear Friends,
For 42 years, the Abode has endured because of you: your devotion to the vision of Pir Vilayat and the Abode’s founders and the Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan.
Our beloved Razzaq has long been the heart of the Abode. Since the Abode’s founding, Razzaq has stood as the entry sentinel to our campus, welcoming and embracing all into the core of the campus. Over the years, Razzaq’s 1831 kitchen has nourished thousands of Sufis and seekers, and its dining and residence halls have embraced many conversations, celebrations, and contemplations.
We will be applying some TLC to Razzaq and the main entry to the Abode, as part of our capital improvement plan. We will be repainting, enhancing the courtyard and Abode Road #1, landscaping and creating a fresh, inviting energy to all who live, work, and visit.
Your donation to our Summer Appeal will help us take the next step in the securing the legacy of Razzaq for a new generation to enjoy.

Programs:
Greetings from the ever-busy Programs Office!
We are working on hiring a Programs and Marketing Coordinator to work with the Programs and Development initiatives and allow greater flexibility for the Director of Programs to invest in longer-term planning, fund sourcing, and relationship-building. Thanks for all the prayers and support as we search for the ideal candidate.
We have a lot of programs and hope you might join us for one or more of them!
Multi-day programs:
Aug 25 – 27 – The World of Kabbalah from the Inside with Eve Ilsen (wife of late Reb Zalman) – this is a special program that we hope people can attend!
Aug 25 – 27 – Village Visit including Community Sema on Friday night at 7:30pm
Sep 22 – 24 is the Healing Ourselves and Our Communities retreat, including special dialogue between Pir Zia and Dr. Randy Weston, and a stunning concert by Dr. Weston on Saturday night. Sign up today!
Single-day programs:
Aug 17 @ 4pm – Farm Class with Evan Thaler-Null on Crop Health and Selection; meet in the courtyard
Aug 20 @ 1:30pm – A Contemplative Approach to Learning and Teaching Relationships with Peter Schein; please register so we know how many people will be attending (and how many to cook for)
Aug 20 @ 7pm – New Moon Women’s Circle with Salima McCall
Sep 3 @ 11am – This is a special Sunday where we invite everyone to join us at the Mountain Sanctuary for Universal Worship at 11am followed by a Labor Day Potluck brunch at the Mountain Camp. The Mountain is so sacred and we would like to use it more often! Please join us!
Sep 14 is also a big day! At 4pm, join the Farm Class with Evan Thaler-Null. At 6pm a special Langar (free) Dinner followed by a 7:30pm concert with Fanna-Fi-Allah, returning Sufi Qawwali group. Tickets are on sale now!
