The Abode gardens are lovingly tended to by Sarah Latifa who loves communing with the nature spirits on this sacred land. The herb garden has a rose octagon surrounded by the four element beds (air, earth, fire and water). There is a heart and wing design in the middle that has wings full of medicinal plants on one side and berries on the other. The heart in the middle is a center of sacred light energy that includes a labyrinth surrounded by lavender which  spirals inward towards a small white rose plant with clear quartz crystals illuminating the light of the divine.

Sarah Latifa has a deep passion for the plants and creatures of the planet and plants native plants wherever possible. There are so many beautiful native plants that can be used in landscaping that also benefit the local insects which feed the birds and keep the ecosystem humming along.

There are also cut flowers interspersed with native, food and medicinal plants. These are used to beautify the universal worship altar, workshops, weddings and the dining hall.

Over many years the plant beds have been created and tended to by beloved gardeners Regina Jemila and Nizam. There is a meditation hall garden bed with chisti yellow roses and many plants that display slow fireworks by taking turns blooming season by season. There is also the beloved memorial garden in the shade of the meta sequoia trees to the right of the meditation hall.

There is a kitchen herb garden and children's exploration garden to the left of the greenhouse which is led to through a tunnel of cut flowers from the main road.

The gardens are meant to be a place of rest and restoration allowing for contemplation and slowing down. Come rest under an elderberry and watch the incredible sunset from the Adirondack chairs scattered through the gardens. Bring your meal into the garden and commune with the floral scents wafting through the air.

There are monthly community garden mornings on Saturdays along with homemade scones and lemon curd

We have volunteer days on Wednesday and soemtimes Saturday if you want to help out, spend time with the team, and even learn some tips and tricks!
